Each year, on the 3d Thursday of November, francophones and francophiles around the world get together to celebrate the “vin primeur” such as Beaujolais Nouveau. This year we will celebrate this tradition with the Alliance Française of Fresno. here are all the details you need to know if you want to join us!
The AFF Beaujolais Nouveau event is this Saturday, and we hope you’re as excited as we are!
After the official opening of the Beaujolais Nouveau 2021, you will learn about the Beaujolais tradition. Then, test your knowledge with an all-in-fun quiz, and perhaps win a prize! Enjoy charcuterie, cheese, and other light fare, and taste the 2021 Beaujolais Nouveau. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. The musical talents of Duo Gadjo will entertain us, and desert will be served. At this event we are also ready to welcome new memberships, and accept additional donations to the non-profit Alliance Française de Fresno.
Arrive between 5:30 and 6:00. There is ample parking on the street, and our students will help guide you.
This is an outdoor event on lawn so wear comfortable shoes appropriate for grass, and dress for warmth.
Our gracious hosts are Judy Lund Bell and Jim Bell at 4193 W. Alluvial Avenue, within Sierra Sky Park north of Herndon at Brawley.
Those of you who did not pay in advance can settle your balance at the door ($50 for Alliance Française de Fresno members/$60 for non-members). Any additional bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau will be available for purchase at the end of the evening.
